Hi! I’m Amy Horne! 😊

I’m the Director of The Oaks Preschool! Children have always been a deep passion of mine. Growing up, I babysat every chance I could and nannied for families to put myself through college. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Houston Baptist University and worked several years as a teacher for both Oak Forest Elementary and Parker Elementary in HISD. Growing up I dreamt of opening and running a preschool, so when the opportunity came up at my home church, I couldn’t wait to get started. We opened The Oaks Preschool in August of 2017 and it has been a great experience all around. We get the opportunity to serve families in the surrounding neighborhoods and I have enjoyed getting to know all of these sweet little ones. I love getting to create a safe, fun and learning centered environment where parents feel comfortable dropping off their children. We hope you will consider joining our Oaks family!
