The Oaks Preschool opened in August of 2017 and has been growing, not only in its enrollment, but in its drive to provide quality education and care for the Garden Oaks, Oak Forest, and Greater Heights community. We are operated by Oak Forest locals and thus have a strong desire to create an environment where the children in our community flourish with a love for learning. All of our staff are highly trained, creative, and energetic – ready to pour into our kids! We value the “extra” so it was important to us to offer things like enrichment classes, seasonal events for the entire family, field trips and more. What ages does your center care for?
Our enrollment begins with infants as young as 8 weeks old through 5 years old (prekindergarten). Your child can stay with us until they head to Kindergarten!
What are your different school day options?
2 days* (Tuesday/Thursday)
3 days* (Monday/Wednesday/Friday)
5 day (Monday through Friday)
*Part time days are set as stated above and cannot be adjusted
What are your school hours?

Early Care (must register): 7:30am-8:15am
School Day Drop off: 8:15am – 8:45am
School Day: 8:15am – 3:45pm
Regular Pick up: 3:15pm – 3:45pm
Extended Care: 3:45pm – 5:00pm
(We conduct all pick up and drop off outside of our building due to licensing regulations for the COVID pandemic)
How do you communicate with parents?
We believe parent communication is extremely important and partner with the app “Procare” to ensure our parents are well informed throughout the day. It’s easy to download and allows our parents to log in and check up-to-date information on their child’s day – everything from bottles, diapers, what they are learning, pictures and more! Our technology is easy to use and allows us to maintain consistent organized information for both our facilities and our parents!
Do you have a waitlist and how does it work?
We do have a waitlist for all age groups. The waitlist is free to join, you would only pay a registration fee to accept spots once they become available. You can join the waitlist by emailing us and requesting the link to sign up. We do offer priority to active covenant members of our church, children who are already enrolled who want to switch to a different number of days, and siblings of children who are currently enrolled. Your status on our waitlist can fluctuate accordingly, so we appreciate your patience and understanding with this!
Do you offer tours?
We offer tours by appointment Monday through Friday at 9:15a! If you’re interested in touring feel free to email us and we would love to schedule one with you.
How much is tuition?

Does your school operate year round?
Our school operates year round! Your child does not have to attend our summer program in June and July in order to keep their spot for the next school year! We try our best to meet the needs of all families and we feel like our calendar is a reflection of that.
We do take breaks throughout our year. We use a balanced billings system for most of these holidays so that the tuition price remains the same every month. The only months that are prorated are December and August. We do not charge for our Christmas and Summer breaks so that you can use the money you would’ve paid us to find help if you need it!
